Happens in a Blink.

In July KSBJ, a local christian radio station, hosted a concert at the Kemah boardwalk. One of the band that played was 'Revive.' While they were playing one of their songs I had a thought occur to me. What if at that moment Jesus came back? In that instant? How many people would be left standing there? We were at a Christian concert with the whole boardwalk packed with people, yet how many people would be left behind? Honestly, some, if not most, of the people would probably be left standing there wondering what happened or why they didn't get to go. It seemed fitting because the song that was playing was 'Blink' some of the lyrics of it are:
"It happens in a blink
It happens in a flash
It happens in the time it takes to look back
I try to hold on tight, but there's no stopping time
What is it I've done with my life
It happens in a blink"

Its left me thinking for a long time, and later that day on the ride home I got to share that thought with the youth group that I was with. And I asked the question: "Would you be left standing there?" It grew very silent in the van.
How many people do you know would be left behind? Would you be? Those are just some questions to ponder and also to act off of. Go become 100% certain you'll be going and also go help make sure your friends are 100% certain because who would want to be left behind?

Divine Appointment.

Hola! How is everyone? I hope everyone is doing fine! I hope you're enjoying this lovely holiday. I know I am! I didn't have to work today!

I could write several blogs right now because I need to update you guys on a lot of things. Time has gone by so fast and so many things have happened I cannot believe it! God has been so good to me. Everyday He has a new surprise for me.

The First thing. I want to tell you a story of just how awesome God is and how He creates those divine appointments. Today while I was at the Lifeway book store in Beaumont, I ran into a old friend of the family and we started talking about my trip to Honduras. We talked about my newsletter I just sent out and when I was supposed to go back. After a few minutes I went to go put the books I had on hold so that I could pick them up on Wednesday. When I asked the cashier to hold them for the a guy in another line asked me if I was a missionary. I said yes, I was a missionary to Honduras. The guy had heard me talking to my friend about Honduras. The guys then asked if he could buy my books for me. I was shocked! That was not what i expected at all! I didn't really know what to say! But I said sure if he wanted to, and he did. We started talking and he told me about his dad who is a Pastor in Lake Charles, LA. He said his dad has a heart for Honduras and that He would probably love to support me. He gave me the number to contact his dad, and then he was left. I had never seen that guy in my life. I pray that God blesses him in mighty ways! He sure did bless me. I plan on calling the Pastor soon. So if you will please keep that in your prayers. Although that is amazing, here's another story for you.
After my family finished up in Lifeway we went to Kohls. While I was looking around in clothes a lady comes up to me and asks if I was just in Lifeway. I said yes. She said she didn't want to be noisy but she and her daughter had heard me talking to the guy from Lifeway and wanted to know more about what I was talking about. She also said that her daughter wanted to ask me some questions and if it would be okay if she went and got her daughter. I said sure. I was about in tears when this happened. God confirmed several things for me in that moment. The daughter and her mom show back up and start asking me question and I was able to tell them all about my trip and about the great things God has done for me! It was another divine appointment. The daughter and I traded contact information and I am sure we will stay in contact. It was another thing that showed just how great God is.

You know God is a mysterious God and no matter how hard a person tries, they just can't figure Him out. And I love that about God. He makes people wonder what is next, and He surprises them every time because it is never what they guess. God keeps me on my toes, I never know when I'll have a 'divine appointment.' or when He has some sort of surprise for me. I wish I could know because then that would take the fun out of everything. I wasn't planning on having a divine appointment today. But I'm glad I did.

Guys I want you to always remember that God is a mysterious God. You won't be able to figure Him out because it's just not impossible. So don't even try. He likes to surprise people and believe me, you will get many surprises in life. Remember to always trust God, He knows what is going on and He knows what He has for you. Jeremiah 29:11. Just trust Him, He will take you on a wild ride, just hang on and follow His lead. Let Him surprise you! You won't regret it!

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions, prayer requests, or anything else, feel free to contact me. My email, I believe is on my blog if not go to my facebook and get it off of there. Well until next time.

"May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace."

Thank you once again.
Blessings,
Nicole.
